Curcumin has received a lot of interest in the last decade for its ability to help fight numerous diseases like Malaria and Alzheimer’s. What most people are not aware of it that this spice has also been proven to help fight depression in mice. This spice found in many Indian foods was shown in a study to decrease depressive behaviors in mice. Curcumin works to increase the dopamine and noradrenaline in the brain which are the same molecules found in antidepressants.
