When Artemus Dolgin moved to America he had literally nothing. He was determined to become a prominent name in the world of bodybuilding, but before he could get there, he had to work as a janitor and later a waiter to survive.
Artemus Dolgin was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. His interest in physical training was massively influenced by his father, who gave him a rusty old barbell, when Artemus was just 6.
In a few years, his father approved of him starting workouts. Artemus began lifting weights at the gym which his father made in the basement.
Artemus Dolgin enrolled at the University of Kiev in the hope that a degree would be a stepping stone towards moving and working in the US. A few years later Artemus fulfilled his desire and moved to Chicago. However, life wasn’t easy at first for the Russian.
By 2016, after years of hard work and determination, Artemus finally got his IFBB Pro Card and was actively competing. He also started a fitness apparel company. For today, Artemus Dolgin is a very divisive figure in bodybuilding.
While many agree his opinions of bodybuilding philosophy, that the Golden Era of bodybuilding was back in the days of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Frank Zane, there are many others who find his motivational speeches as attention seeking. Everyone has an opinion, and Dolgin chooses to let him be known for better or worse.
As a committed Golden Era advocate he has always tried to shape his physique accordingly. Being a polarizing figure to some, one thing that can’t be denied is that Artemus Dolgin has an incredible frame. His insane V-Taper and narrow waistline have been attracting admirers for years.
Here is one of his motivational speeches:
“I got nothing but this craft. All my life I worked for it. I said f*ck genetics, f*ck the odds, f*ck the drama, f*ck the doubt, I’m just gonna do it and do it all the way. My way. One door opened another n then another n I just kept going.” “There is no stopping now.”
“I use fitness as a platform to reach people n share with them my personal journey from nothing to everything. I’m not perfect, far from it, but I’m driven to improve, daily, for the rest of my life. I was training today, sweating like crazy, n I thought, no one waiting for me at home, no party to go to but an empty house with the tone of projects and work; made me train harder cause I know what a sacrifice it is sometimes.”
“I don’t run from people, nor I don’t isolate myself but I just move so fast that my environment changes all the time n I don’t get attached to the levels I go through. You will notice that when you so driven to succeed you wake up before the alarm goes off regardless of how many hours you slept cuz you so f*cking excited to get back on the grind. I truly appreciate your support and love guys, I write these captions cuz I feel like you can relate n I want you know that you not alone dreaming, believing n working your a*s off in and out the gym. This world is truly a playground, and I’m gonna score big. I know that.”
