Supplements which have been proven to improve our everyday health

These days it’s probably safe to say that the human race is in pretty bad shape, generally speaking of course. Worldwide obesity levels are peaking at record breaking highs, life expectancies are decreasing rather than increasing, and obesity is costing governments all around the world billions upon billions every single year. Obesity is now being described by health and nutritional experts as a pandemic that has the potential to one day end civilization altogether if things don’t change.

In order for us to enjoy optimal levels of health and fitness we need to ensure that we lead a healthy and active lifestyle on a regular basis, complete with plenty of physical exercise and plenty of healthy and nutritious foods. Once you’ve cleaned your diet up and are getting more exercise, the next step you can take to really make yourself that little bit fitter, healthier, and happier, is to incorporate health supplements into your daily diet.

We spend millions upon millions on health supplements every single year, yet many of us don’t actually know what we’re taking, or why we’re taking it. Here, we’ll be looking at a few health supplements that have been medically proven to improve our everyday health and general well-being.

Vitamin C – Ascorbic acid, AKA vitamin C, is one of the healthiest and most beneficial vitamins we could ever wish for and the good news is that it is available in supplement form, as well as being found naturally in a vast array of healthy and nutritious foods. Vitamin C is so healthy and beneficial because it strengthens and boosts the immune system. Our immune systems are our body’s natural defense against illness and disease. The stronger our immune system, the less likely we will be to suffer from illness and disease and if we do, we will recover at a much quicker rate than normal. Vitamin C is available in liquid, effervescent, or pill form of different strengths and should be consumed with a meal for adequate absorption.
