Vegetables Are A Must Have

Green leafy vegetables have been the staple of a good healthy diet for years, but now studies have proven them to be even more valuable in the fight against depression.  Folic acid found in these foods has been shown to cause mood improvement in those suffering from depression.  Although these studies are limited; by increasing your daily intake of spinach, collard greens, and other green leafy vegetables; you can effectively fix any folate deficiency which is common in people with depression and improve your overall health.

Put A Little Spice in Your Life

Curcumin has received a lot of interest in the last decade for its ability to help fight numerous diseases like Malaria and Alzheimer’s.  What most people are not aware of it that this spice has also been proven to help fight depression in mice.   This spice found in many Indian foods was shown in a study to decrease depressive behaviors in mice.
