Rich Piana was put in a medically induced coma yesterday, after being found unresponsive in his home! Steroid overdose suspected!
The famous bodybuilder Rich Piana, aged 46, who rose to prominence due to his open admission of anabolic steroid usage, his bodybuilding training videos and extravagant lifestyle, has been found unresponsive in his home in Florida after what might have been a steroid overdose. He’s been put in а medically induced coma.
On Monday afternoon emergency officials responded to a call about a possible overdose at his home. Upon arrival, he was unresponsive and was immediately transported to the nearest hospital where they put him into a medically induced coma. The reason behind this incident is still not clear.
The bodybuilding star that has a huge following on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, apparently lost consciousness, hit his head while falling and is now fighting for his life. His partner Chanel Jansen called 911 and told the police that he had probably suffered an overdose, as reported by law enforcement officers in an official statement. When the police arrived he was unresponsive and immediately transferred to a hospital nearby where he was put into a medically induced coma by the doctors. Chanel released a statement concerning his current medical condition:
“I want to be clear that Rich is still alive”, she wrote on Instagram. I and his famility are asking for positive thoughts, your prayers and love. Chanel was with him when the incident happened. Piana has come forward numerous times to the public explaining how he had been spending an enormous amount of money every month on anabolic s******s, which constituted an essential part of his look, career and overall lifestyle. In one video on Youtube which he posted about a year ago, he admitted on taking the s******s on-and-off over the last 27 years, but advised his admirers and followers not to follow his drug usage, while defending his decision that this was the life he had chosen to live.
He has said numerous times that if you had the choice to use s******s or train natural, train natural. There’s no reason to take s******s, you’ll only be hurting yourself in the long run. But if your career choice is a professional bodybuilder and you plan on competing and being a winner you will have no choice but to take them. That’s the sad reality. Rich spoke about feeling immensely pressured to increase his steroid usage after they started booting him offstage during bodybuilding shows. He said he had gotten to a point where they blew him off stage if he wasn’t going to use s******s, so he did what he needed to do. But even after taking s******s, he was still happy with his choices, the way everything went in his life and how he would do it all over again if he had the chance. By the way, he started taking s******s at the age of 18.
After announcing his last year steroid cycle, he disappeared from the social media for a month, leaving many of his followers worried. He gave some slight hints that he may have gotten himself into a sort of legal trouble or was recently hospitalized. Piana returned unexpectedly without any explanation. He often repeats his slogan “Whatever it takes” when he discusses the risks he’s prepared to undertake to succeed in the muscle-building business. Last year, he and his ex-wife, Sara Heimis, announced their divorce after a year of marriage.
He spoke in a video of how she only wanted to marry him to obtain a green card. He also accuses her of stealing money from him.

Despite the fallout, Piana posted a loving message to his Instagram page, reflecting on the pair’s time spent together.
“I believe the time has come to announce that and I are no longer together. It was a crazy wonderful more than anyone could imagine year together!! A fairytale life, but we do have our differences as all couples do and we both decided together that this was the best scenario! he wrote to his Instagram page, beneath a photo that read ‘King and Queen’ of the two.
‘We are still friends and both agree this is the best choice for us. I felt it necessary to announce this on social media because we were together 24/7 so as soon as anyone sees us not together the first question is ‘where’s Sara’ about 20 people asked me that very question today at the gym and when I say we are no longer together it’s a 20 min conversation.
‘Whatever happens in life you have to be strong and keep pushing forward and Sara is a very strong girl and we will both keep pushing forward and being the best we can be in every aspect of life!”
