The bodybuilding community suffered a great loss recently. At the age of 30, the Chinese former bodybuilding champion who led a strict “monk’s life” to get his record-breaking physique passed away.
According to sources, Kun, who became well-known in the bodybuilding community, died from what appeared to be a heart problem. As of yet, the official cause of death has not been confirmed. Days before he passed away, Kun reportedly seemed to be in good health.
According to Jam Press, he was a professional athlete with the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness Professional League and was considered one of the best bodybuilders in China.
At the National Bodybuilding Championships of the Chinese Bodybuilding Association (CBBA), Wang won eight straight titles. He was well-known for his strict diet, which comprised boiling chicken breast and hot pot soup with meat coated in soy sauce.

Wang Kun became an IFBB Pro in November 2022. His goal was to become a top competitor in the Men’s 212 category of the league. Kun participated in the Huanji China Pro 2 in June and placed 16th in the Men’s Open class.
Wang was also a businessman. According to reports, he was getting ready to build a new gym in Hefei, which he dubbed “a new starting point, a new world…” right before my eyes. He also operated a well-known training facility in his hometown named Muscle Factory.
