Liver King is being held at Austin’s Travis County Jail after being taken into custody on Tuesday evening.
Following social media posts criticizing Joe Rogan and threatening to fight him, Liver King was taken into custody in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday night.
Records show that Liver King, whose real name is Brian Johnson, is charged with making a terrorist threat, a Class B misdemeanor. After posting a $20,000 bond, Johnson was brought to Austin’s Travis County Jail. Up until now, no additional information about the arrest has been made public.
The history between Joe Rogan and Liver King
The bad blood between Joe Rogan and the Liver King goes back some time now. Liver King maintained his claims that he never used st*roids to build his ripped body while he developed his social media empire. As his presence continued growing, he caught the eye of Joe Rogan who in one of his podcasts claimed that Liver King is “full of st*roids”.
Eventually, it turned out that Joe Rogan was right about Liver King. According to a leaked email, Johnson spent $12,000 a month on performance-enhancing drugs to be in top condition. The liver King confessed to using performance enhancing drugs and apologized to his fans. Fans demanded that Rogan invite Liver King to appear on his platform, which never happened.

Liver King challenges Joe Rogan
Liver King posted a video of himself yelling at and threatening Joe Rogan a few days back. According to reports, the conflict started as the two debated Liver King’s natural status on various platforms throughout the years.
“Joe Rogan, we don’t have to make videos and to pretend anymore. All of this is happening, I challenge you man to man, to a fight.”
“The world is watching. They’ll make the videos for us. You don’t have to hold a camera. You can hold the hand of somebody that you love because what happens next to you, you’re going to need to remember that feeling. You’re going to need something more than what you did to give you something to fight for”

In several videos posted over the following days, Liver King appears to be experiencing significant emotional distress, possibly even a nervous breakdown, and seems to be struggling mentally.

In the footage, Johnson is seen sporting a vest, trousers, and a burgundy sweatshirt after being arrested by police in Rogan’s hometown. After he challenged Rogan, he posted many videos to social media. With his family present, Liver King is shown pacing a room while talking about “prison” and “being arrested.”
The videographer appears to let law enforcement into the room when they arrive. Johnson demands that the tapes be posted on social media after going on yet another tirade. After being escorted out and finally put in the police car, he was permitted to embrace his wife and children.
