When they got married, about a year ago, it was the biggest wedding in gym history. Fast forward a year : Rich and Sarah have called it quits on their marriage and are already on the road to divorce.
These last few years, former bodybuilder and Mr. California Rich Piana has been all over social media and has gained a huge fan base – his videos get millions of views and his social media following is immense. When he announced that he and Sarah would be getting married in 2015, the fans really liked Sara right away. On the other hand, Sara became took a role in almost all of Piana’s videos.
People loved seeing the two together and they seemed to be inseparable. They trained and travelled together. Who could have predicted that things can turn for the worse so quick.
The split has already puzzled many of their fans and there have been all kinds of theories as to why they decided to call it quits. Many attribute it to Rich’s larger than life lifestyle and claim Sarah – only in her early twenties, only got with Rich for the fame and the cash.
Some fans giess that Sarah’s family had something to do with it. Sara’s father recently visited the two, traveling from Iceland and looked notably uncomfortable at times when he appeared in the videos. Whatever the reasons, the split came out of the blue and caught many people off guard.
Without knowing any details yet, it’s only safe to assume that Rich is going to be getting hit up for a decent amount of cash in the divorce. He’s done really well for himself, not everybody can translate mass into cash.
Rich posted this message on his Instagram: “I believe the time has come to announce that Sarah and I are no longer together. It was a crazy wonderful time, more than anyone could imagine after a year together!! A fairy-tale life but we do have our differences as all couples do and we both decided together that this was the best scenario!
We are still friends and both agree this is the best choice for us. I felt it necessary to announce this on social media because we were together 24/7 so as soon as anyone sees we’re not together the first question is “where’s Sara” – about 20 people asked me that very question today at the gym and when I say we are no longer together it’s a 20min conversation. Whatever happens in life you have to be strong and keep pushing forward and Sara is a very strong girl and we will both keep pushing forward and being the best we can be in every aspect of life”.
The marriage is ending because the very same weekend she met him she also boned another 5%er the day before the expo.
I don’t know the guy’s name but he’s been around forever and in charge of the booths but you rarely see him. The first team picture of them at the Texas expo she boned the guys on both sides of her. And that dude is like Rich’s right-hand man. I guess neither one of them ever told Rich because they were BOTH after what they could get out of him….money, drugs, secondhand fame.
The night of the Vegas wedding the same guy was making sad Instagram posts all night and out drinking when he was in Vegas for the expo the next day that later got deleted. He was also the ONLY member of the team who was in town but didn’t attend the wedding, reception, after party, nothing…. Just completely stayed away. That’s strange being how closely he works with Rich, eh?
Apparently it came out in a verbal argument about how she is always his camera person and not working in her own career.
Afterwards, she went and edited an old post about how much she regretted what she said it but he was already done with her.
To add insult to injury MANY other 5% team members (including wedding party members) knew about the hookup but NO ONE ever bothered to tell Rich. He was completely in the dark when he married her and she was obviously hiding something. Now a bunch of these idiots are frantically deleting photos they have with the guy and he won’t say a word. Knowing the truth and looking back at videos and pictures…. It’s pretty funny.
Basically what it comes down to is she was going to leave one of them with only 5% of their money and when Rich showed interest she jumped teams to the one with more money.
